How much does a catch-up cost?
It's a fixed price, quoted upfront, based on how far behind the file actually is. We look first, then quote, so there's no open-ended hourly meter. You'll know the full cost before we start anything.
How far behind is too far behind?
There isn't a "too far." Months, a year, several years, BAS unlodged, the lot. The further behind it is, the more there is to do, but it's all sortable. We scope it and quote it.
Can you lodge my overdue BAS?
Yes. If you've got BAS lodgements outstanding, we prepare and lodge the overdue ones to get you current with the ATO and stop new penalties building.
I've got ATO debt. Can you help?
We can get you lodged and current, which is the first step, and talk you through the options on the debt itself. We can't make existing debt disappear, but we can stop it growing.
My Xero is a genuine disaster. Is that a problem?
No. Duplicate transactions, a mangled chart of accounts, a suspense account full of mysteries, that's exactly what this service is for. We've opened worse. We clean it properly, not just on the surface.
Do I have to sign up to a monthly plan?
No. The catch-up is a one-off, fixed-price job. Most people move onto a monthly Pack afterwards so it never builds up again, but that's your call, not a condition.
How long does a catch-up take?
Depends how far behind you are, and we'll give you a realistic timeframe when we quote. A few months behind is quick. Years behind takes longer, but you'll know the timeline upfront.
Will my accountant need to be involved?
Sometimes, if it's tied to overdue tax returns. We'll flag it if so and work alongside them. For most catch-ups, we get the books current and hand your accountant a clean file.
What happens once I'm caught up?
You get a clean, current, reconciled file, and a clear path onto a monthly Pack so the backlog never returns. The whole point is this is the last time you're ever this far behind.
What if I'm not happy?
We quote the catch-up upfront and agree the scope before we start, so there are no surprises. If something's not right, we'll make it right. No lock-in afterwards either.
